Premier Kvirikashvili hails Azerbaijan`s "key" role in Georgian energy supply
"Azerbaijan is playing a key role in ensuring energy security of not only Georgia, but also of Europe, Asia, and, in general, the entire world," said Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili as he addressed the International energy forum 2016 in Tbilisi.
He noted that the Great Silk Road and Baku-Supsa energy corridor laid the foundation of Georgia`s energy map.

“The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project lie at the heart of our development.” He also highlighted the South Caucasus Pipeline and Shahdeniz projects.

The energy forum brought together officials from Azerbaijan, U.S., France, Turkey, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps and international experts to discussed a wide range of issues, including energy projects in the South Caucasus, regional security, Georgia`s role in these projects, and investment environment.
